The other day it was hot. A perfect “suntan on the patio” kind of day. I whipped up this thick, frosty drink and shared it with my roommate. We were happy girls. It’s delicious and filling. I layered it with cacao nibs.
Chocolate Banana Chia Frosty
1 cup nut milk
2 1/2 tablespoons chia seeds
3 large frozen bananas
1-2 tablespoons coconut sugar
1 tablespoon cacao powder
1 teaspoon vanilla powder
Whisk together 1/2 cup milk with the chia seeds. Let sit while making the rest of the frosty. Blend the other 1/2 cup milk with the bananas. Add MOST (3/4) of the chia mixture and blend on low, just to incorporate without breaking the seeds. Transfer half of the banana chia mixture to a bowl. Add the vanilla, cacao, coconut sugar and rest of the chia mixture. Blend until smooth. Layer the chocolate and banana mixtures in 1 large or 2 small glasses.
